1. About This Site

The Life & Times of Sloppy Steve ("the Game") is an AI-powered narrative adventure game operated as part of the Vibecade suite of experiences. By playing the Game you agree to these terms. If you disagree, please close the tab — Steve won't mind. He's used to rejection.

2. Mature Content — Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to play the Game. The Game contains AI-generated content that may include graphic violence, strong language, adult themes, disturbing imagery, death, and morally ambiguous or dark scenarios. This content is intentional — the Game is designed as an unrestricted adult narrative experience. If you are under 18, please do not play.

By continuing you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you understand the Game may produce content that some people find offensive or upsetting.

3. Use of the Game

  • The Game is provided for entertainment purposes only.
  • You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate interactions with the Game.
  • You may not use the Game to generate or distribute content that is unlawful or harassing toward real people.
  • Node-locking (claiming a story branch) is temporary. Idle locks expire automatically.
  • Custom scenario prompts you type are sent to third-party AI providers (see Section 5). Do not enter personal information, passwords, or sensitive data into the scenario field.

4. AI-Generated Content

The Game uses large language models (OpenAI GPT-4o) and image generation models (Replicate / Flux) to create story content dynamically. Generated content is intentionally unrestricted in tone and may include dark, violent, or adult themes. Content is generated in response to genre, theme, and optionally a custom scenario you provide.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or consistency of AI-generated content. The AI may produce outcomes that are unexpected, grim, absurd, or deeply unfair to Steve. That is largely the point.

5. Third-Party AI Providers

Story text is generated via the OpenAI API and images via Replicate. When you use the Custom Scenario feature, the text you type is included in the prompt sent to OpenAI. Do not include personal information, real people's names in a harmful context, or confidential data in custom scenario text. These providers have their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Intellectual Property

The Sloppy Steve character concept, game mechanics, and site design are proprietary. AI-generated narrative and image content produced during gameplay is generated uniquely per session and is not claimed as our exclusive intellectual property, but we reserve the right to store and display it as part of the shared game world.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any losses, frustrations, or emotional investment in Steve's fictional outcomes. Story branches may end badly. Steve may die. This is fine.

We reserve the right to reset, modify, or shut down the Game at any time without notice.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
